In the fourth quarter of 2024, the sandbox gaming category on Android in Europe showcased some interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, the top five sandbox games displayed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

Roblox from Roblox Corporation saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $4.3M in late December. The game’s weekly downloads also surged, reaching approximately 796K by the end of the quarter. Active users grew significantly, from 28.3M at the start of October to 33.3M by year's end.

Minecraft: Dream it, Build it! by Mojang experienced a steady revenue stream, culminating in $287K during the week of December 23. Downloads remained relatively stable with a slight increase at the quarter's end, reaching 8.9K. Active users saw a moderate growth, ending at 692K.

Blockman Go by Blockman GO studio showed a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at $13.7K in December. Downloads grew steadily through the quarter, reaching 59.6K in the last week. Active users increased from 408K to 552K, indicating a growing player base.

Growtopia from Ubisoft Entertainment had modest revenue growth, peaking at $11.6K in late December. Although downloads remained low, active user numbers fluctuated, ending the quarter at around 9.6K.

Terraria by 505 Games Srl experienced a slight increase in revenue towards the end of the year, reaching $6.3K. Downloads showed a minor rise, finishing at 1.1K, while active users grew to 13.5K by December 30.
